GTA 6 Limits You to Two Handguns and Two Long Guns

The bottomless pockets of GTA V are gone. Rob Nelson explained during the Rockstar North previews how many guns Jason and Lucia can carry, and creators who played it found that even running works differently.

What it changes in the game

  1. GTA 6 weaponsNew

    Two handguns can always stay hidden on you. Long guns are limited to two as well: one slung on the back, the other in your hands. Press preview [1]

  2. GTA 6 wanted levelNew

    People notice: a rifle on your back draws little attention, one in your hands makes them back away, and walking around with heavy weapons can get the police called. Press preview [1]

  3. GTA 6 weaponsNew

    Nelson's reason: "In GTA 5, you can pull out a shotgun from nowhere in front of people, and they don't react. That doesn't work here." Press preview [1]

  4. GTA 6 activitiesNew

    Sprinting is now a click of the left stick (L3) instead of hammering X or A. Whether the old control stays as an option is not known. Press preview [2]

Still unknown: Whether spare guns ride in any car's trunk or only your own.
