GTA 6 Radio Stations: Six Revealed, Podcasts and Radio on Foot

Rockstar detailed GTA 6's in-game radio on October 8, in a Newswire post and a new Music section on the game's site. It previews six stations and confirms two firsts for the series: on-demand podcasts, and radio you can keep listening to on foot.

What did Rockstar announce about GTA 6's radio?

Rockstar opened with a post on X promising the biggest and widest-ranging radio selection in the series. TGG reads its genre list at 0:18: classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, metal, dance, Latin, '80s electronic, blues and ballads, plus podcasts. Official [1]

The post came with a new Vice City screenshot: bumper-to-bumper traffic on a highway bridge into downtown, from a taxi to a cement mixer. TGG places it east of Vice City, between the city and Vice Beach (1:15). Official [1][2]

A Newswire post and a new Music section on rockstargames.com/VI followed the same day, with previews of six stations you can play now. TGG says each preview runs about two minutes (6:34). Official [3][2][1]

Who hosts the GTA 6 radio stations?

Rockstar introduces every host by a first name or a nickname only: Burna and Palmsy, DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, Trick and Trina, Robyn and Alex. It does not say who is behind them. Official [3]

The hosts speak in the previews. AfroBank FM opens with "Ladies and gentlemen, this is Burna", and Flash FM promises "a long night of club hits" with Robyn and Alex (TGG, 6:43 and 7:05). Official [1][2]

TheSixthAxis and Dexerto both name the real artists: Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya on The Chamber 106.6, Burna Boy and Palms Trax on AfroBank FM, Trick Daddy and Trina on Dirty South Classics, and Robyn with Alex Consani on Flash FM. Rockstar has not confirmed these names. Community reported [4][5]

Reports disagree on two stations. TheSixthAxis lists Bad Bunny and RaiNao for Cocoteo FM, and Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen for Back Country Radio, while Rockstar's own text names El Martillo and La Gata, and MW and Delta Dawne. Bad Bunny is at least on Cocoteo's playlist: his track "EoO" is in the station preview. Community reported [4][3][2]

What is Back Country Radio?

Back Country Radio is the station of rural Leonida: MW and Delta Dawne play renegade country to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond, and its art on Rockstar's Music page is a guitarist on an airboat in the swamp. Official [3][2]

The station comes with a running gag: Rockstar describes Mud Dog Mike, its swamp meteorologist, as Delta Dawne's "not-so-secret lover". TGG's reaction at 3:23: the man reports "from an airboat". Official [3][1]

Is Flash FM back in GTA 6?

Yes. Flash FM is the one station of the six with a history: it played pop on the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002, and returns as what Rockstar now calls "the Vice City institution". Community reported [6][3]

Rockstar's Music page sets the station beside a night shot of Ocean Drive in the rain: an orange sports car, a row of rental scooters and the neon Ocean View Hotel. TGG, opening it at 4:56, points out the scooters and asks whether the sports car is a Pegassi. Official [2][1]

What will Rockstar reveal next?

Rockstar says more radio news is coming before launch, naming two topics: GTA 6's dynamic score and more singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. Official [3]

The album has 34 original tracks and comes out with the game on November 19. It can be pre-saved, or pre-ordered on vinyl and CD at gtavi-thealbum.com; the album announcement lists the first artists. Official [3][7]
