GTA 6 Has Hurricanes and Over 170 Animal Species
Game Informer published two GTA 6 exclusives on September 29, alongside its cover story: one on Leonida's weather, one on its wildlife. Storms can now roll in as hurricanes, and the animal count passes 170.
What it changes in the game
More than 170 species live on land, in the air and at sea, some new to Rockstar games: flamingos, manatees, pelicans and alligators among them. Press preview [1]
Animals come in Rare, Discoverable and Legendary classes, and you can study them as in Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar is keeping the legendary ones secret. Press preview [1][2]
Storms are local: rain can fall in the distance while you stay dry, puddles linger afterwards, and rainbows can form. Tropical storms and seasonal hurricanes hit Leonida too. Press preview [3]
Still unknown: How often hurricanes hit, how they change play, and what hunting pays.
